Sustainable menstrual hygiene products such as reusable pads, menstrual cups, period underwear and organic cotton pads can help reduce waste and pollution, while providing an affordable option.
Ensuring everyone has access to basic menstrual hygiene has been pivotal, including breaking cultural taboos that prevent women and girls from openly discussing their menstrual health needs.
The Flo Haven curriculum is taught at our school and community outreaches as we focus on debunking the myths surrounding periods and providing the right information about periods.
We help provide a sustainable source of income for women. We engage the women in our partner communities in the making of our menstrual kit bags which helps them become financially independent.
Teaching menstrual health and providing safe menstrual products can improve the well-being of women and girls. Menstrual health education can also help ensure more access to healthcare services.
