The Agege Community Menstrual Health workshop was in partnership with Saalt and Moozii. The event was our fourth outreach and was a success. Taking place in the town Oko-Oba Community, girls were taught about menstrual hygiene and encouraged to think of menstruation without taboos or shame. The girls were taught using the Flo Haven curriculum as a guide which includes the meaning of menstruation, the organs involved during the menstrual cycle, how long the menstrual cycle lasts, and how to track their cycle using the calendar. The girls were also advised on menstrual hygiene management which included how to properly dispose of their menstrual products.
